Field Days

Regular field days are organised to learn about sustainable landcare practices. 
For example:

• Controlling gully erosion
• Holistic management
• Soil chemistry
• Compost making and compost tea

Carp fishing competition

To raise awareness of the problem of invasive carp in our waterways, YLG held a carp-fishing day.

Tree propagation days

We regularly hold tree propagation workshops at Transgrid’s Nursery. Members can take home trays of tree seedlings that they have propagated to plant on their own property.

Tree planting

Yass Landcare Group has worked with local schools to plant trees and invited school students to help plant on local properties.
