Coming up

Meetings are held at Sutton Public School, normally on the second Tuesday of each even-numbered month.
The usual  format is a short business meeting 7:30 - 8:00 pm, followed by a guest speaker presentation or some other activity, followed by supper.  Our meetings are advertised in several local newspapers so that any interested person has the opportunity to attend.

The potential topics to work through for 2012 include:
Biochar
Fire Ecology
Big picture view of climate drivers as global warming increases
Locusts
Coal seam gas and effects on groundwater
African Lovegrass
Aboretum visit

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 12 June 2012 at 7:30pm.

At 8.00 pm our speaker, Dr Malcolm Gill from the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the ANU, will address us on fire ecology.

Dr Gill is regarded by many as the father of contemporary fire ecology.  His research includes fire ecology, fire weather, fire behaviour, and fire management.
More details to come.

All interested persons are welcome to attend.  Further details about the meeting can be obtained from the secretary Tony Redman (ph 62303266) or the president David Vincent (ph 62303584).
